Their live act is what's fueling the cult. Their sound itself is getting dangerously close to stale, but they still put on a giddily infectious show.

Really?  I think I'd find it  over-the-top and way too serious.  And, fwiw, I haven't found their sound all that stale...I actually think they've done interesting things to it Funeral--NB-Suburbs...it's just the "ethos"?  I don't know...something about the general vibe just doesn't do it for me.

Mormons are known for their showmanship.

A Mormon does have the funniest show on television.

Damn man.  I saw The Black Keys on Saturday.  Really, I can't even post  a review.  Just do yourself a favor, find them in a good venue and check them out.  May have edged out MMW for my favorite show this year...  but it is damned close.  Those guys just know how to rock.

This dude I knew at the show did saw Arcade Fire was awesome when he saw them live a week or two ago.  I can't say one way or the other.

One more note on The Black Keys is that they probably had a total of one minute combined in between songs for the whole show.  The just went from one to the other super quickly, very little shtick.  I honestly thought Patrick Carney's arms were going to fall off.

Nice.  I've never seen them--sounds like a great show.

Totally blanking on MMW.

Medeski Martin and Wood...  the sort of "other" stuff I listen to that isn't your guys' cup of tea I think.
