Assuming you can get in.  Apparently cheez had some trouble.

The important info from Commissioner Dubbs is as follows:

Send a sitemail to the dubbs1023 mailbox requesting the player you want, the amount you are bidding and the player you want removed from your team.  If all three things are not included, it is not considered a bid.  Both myself and TM will have access to this mailbox and will be able to confirm bids for each other.  The mailbox will be opened on Thursdays, sometime after 12:00pm ET.  Any bids received after that time are not counted.  The only time this schedule changes is on the week of Thanksgiving the process will be handled at 12:00 ET on Wednesday.  The players will be placed on the team that won the bid and Free Agency will then open for the week.  It will close again once the final game of the week is played.

i havent bought an nhl game in maybe 5 years, say more...

I was in the same boat - probably more than 5 years though.  the superstar (i.e. be a pro) mode is pretty kick ***.  highly recommend.  Games only take 30-35 minutes to play unlike madden which is nearly an hour per game.

how easy/difficult is it to score goals?

After probably 70 games I can play D pretty good but I only can score 1-3 goals a game (as a team, including the AI).  My player is a RW on Philly and has 18 Goals, 22 Assists.  Its cool that the coach decides where I play (i.e. what line I'm on or whether I am going to stay in the NHL or head down to Adirondack in the AHL).  I can hit B and get my line on or off the ice.  Its a really good game.

Superstar mode as a QB on Madden takes about 15 minutes a game.

we must be using different routines. the one i use is the one with the sitemail bidding.

hard to decide which of my SPs should get the HR CY

how did Lennon for anton in the AL pitch so well with those splits?

Yeah. That mode is pretty quick. In nhl you watch what is going on all game whether in the box or on the bench until you get back on the ice. The be a pro mode has you go through the chl to get drafted. Xp during the games get you a higher pick. Preseason determines whether your player goes to the ahl or nhl. It's pretty well thought out. I'm quickly liking it more than madden. As you go to the bench on a shift it gives you a rating as to how you did on your shift. Some cool stuff.... except I can't get "the final countdown" by Europe out of my head. It's played a ton.
