how did Lennon for anton in the AL pitch so well with those splits?
Not 100% sure...  but he has a great pitchers ballpark, a stellar defense and he is solid everywhere else but the splits.  He would be pretty shoddy elsewhere but he works for that team.

Maybe.

I hate waivers in a regular Yahoo league.  I lose Grant for the year in a money league and some other team picks up Jackson because they crapped the bed in the first week.

I go back and forth.  It also sucks to have no shot at a guy like Jackson unless you're willing to stay up until, or get up at like, 4 in the morning.

I actually like my 1-keeper league's method.  It starts with waiver order being reverse draft order, then just rotates as people make successful claims.  I got nobody this week (tried for Jackson, Fred Taylor, and the Eagles D/ST) but at least moved from 5th to 11th in the order.  In that system, or any waiver system really, you just have to remember to hold trivial moves back until after waivers.

I guess I lucked out by have the 12th pick in several of my leagues this year.  I had first priority in the waiver order and now have Jackson on most of my teams.  Just hope I can get him in one last one.

TM- How do you think Santana Moss will do this week?  I am actually considering playing him over Randy as I think Reavis is going to shut him down.

I think that's how you have to do waivers, at least for the first part of the season. Makes little sense to base waiver order on results of a game or two.

Of course, since the last pick is actually one of the more valuable picks in a snake draft, it's not necessarily the most fair way to initially order.

The yahoo league I run uses rolling waivers.

If Barry Kielty can win a CY Young, any player can have a gifted season, particularly if they play in a stadium that plays to their stregnths

Don't know enough about the Texans secondary really, but I don't think that's a horrible idea.  I'm probably benching Randy in at least one of the two leagues I've got him in.

i like this method as well.    one of my league has an auction where you bid publicly for a player.   once there has not been a bid for 48 hours the player is yours.  once the bidding is past 48 hrs you cant join in.     and if bidding is stil going on sat than its a phone call bidding process.   pretty fun

2 game lead, 16 games left, 11 of which can be started by Halladay/Hamels/Oswalt if necessary, including all 6 against the Braves. I like it.
