It's days like this I kind of miss 2005 TM.  This could have been fun.
Your wife says the same thing like once a week

I wonder what they actually did.
It's weird...you and TM look to have been sent back to go without collecting $200, but I just kicked down the stairs a little bit.

She'd probably go with 2000 TM, but I suppose I'm splitting hairs.
9/28/2010 1:29 PM
The fact that she calls you TM at all is more than a little bit creepy.

Fine, 2000 Matt.  I was just forcing consistency of format.

Was this communicated to users who were impacted or stated anywhere on the forums or wis site?

Dave,

It was not. We don't exactly want to draw attention to it as we don't want it repeated. It was contained to one particular topic.

We want the forum post ratings to mean something and, in turn, the user forum rating to mean something. Having a group of users build each other up does not accomplish this goal.
I like the implication here that the only concern is that the rankings mean something to WIS, not to the actual users.

Dave should write in that they do mean something, they mean who got the most thumbs ups.  Isn't that what they wanted the forum rating to mean?

They create it

We make a mockery of it

They knock us back to the beginning

We ??????????

I thought the rankings  were supposed to be based on girth?
9/28/2010 1:40 PM
Ok...I checked myself in...ticket sent.
9/28/2010 1:41 PM
Well theoretically, we'd make a separate thread and ***** about their intentions, logic, and execution being ****** in an effort to at least make them engage in the conversation.

I'm not sure either side really has that in them anymore.

It was a combination of girth, intensity of delusions of grandeur, and quality of favorite color.
9/28/2010 1:43 PM
But apparently that didn't effectively "mean something."
9/28/2010 1:43 PM
I thought it was 4 fold...girth, IODOG, FCQ, and # of parts acquired in partsball.
9/28/2010 2:13 PM
Oh yeah.  This fix clearly eliminated partsball as a factor entirely.
9/28/2010 2:22 PM
well, at least the parts that W mentioned
