When you say "the same topic", would you happen to be referring to a thread which is over 900 pages long?

Are there other threads that are that extensive? Does it stand to reason that if a group of users in any given forum/topic were to create a thread that long that it would clearly generate many more thumbs than other threads? Giving thumbs based upon humor, intelligence, insightfulness or the lack thereof is not legitimate?

Sounds like one thread is being treated differently than the rest of the forums, and while it may be different, it's different in a way that would seemingly justify many more thumbs being given out.

Saying it wasn't secret is just flat out deceptive practices. A change was made impacting who knows how many users with no notice and no information shared. Only giving reasons to those who ask is shady at best. I'm not trying to stir things up, but I also don't see a genuine solution being explained, merely a temporary and seemingly arbitrary one.

The ratio of thumbs to threads in this topic was also drastically higher than any other topic.

We don't have an issue with folks positively rating funny posts. Everyone can rate posts however they'd like. But when it's clear a topic has users deliberately rating each others posts to build up their forum rating, we jump in and correct the situation.

There's not much to add. Many of the users in this topic are some of our best users. But in this case, it was clear the actions were not how we want our forum ratings to be developed. And we have the right to address issues such as these, even if you and others disagree.

Our solution is to continue to run automated procedures to pinpoint abuse and then take action. That is both short-term and long-term. If you have any suggestions, we're always open to listen.

Because I didnt really do fvck all with it the last few seasons, and with my workload the next year its only gonna get worse.  I was leaving players on DL / rest etc way too long.  Its a good team, and should be utilized by someone who actually wants to pay attention to it.
