Looks like I'll be working on my resume this weekend.  The deal for the local hospital to buy this practice is likely to go through next week, and their intention is to offer me a job managing another practice.  Not much chance they'll be offering me enough money to convince me to do that, but I guess you never know.

Yeah, the doctor has been telling these people that they should offer me something in the "legal department" but he has no idea what he's talking about.  Risk management in a hospital system is probably a distinct possibility for my next step, but if I do that, it'll hopefully be for the bigger, better paying hospital system centered about 2 miles from my house.

If I go the strictly legal route, I'll have to convince a mid-sized firm to pay me as a glorified paralegal for a year or so while I get my CLE's caught up on their dime.  Might be a tough sell in the current state of the job market.

If only someone would just pay me what I'm making now, just to post on the interwebs, drink and play poker.

I can't see myself actually managing a medical practice unless the money is shockingly good.
