You do realize that most of the ads we're talking about are more of the "Candidate X Supports the Megamosque!" utter bullshit variety, rather than "Candidate Y Is Against Economic Policies We Like" variety, right?

Most of them? I disagree there. I am seeing ads that have targeted Abortion, Taxes and some about Muslims, but not most.

Of course I dont think Michigan is a battleground state so we might be missing the fireworks.

They (the ads) haven't been too vicious in IL. Only 2 real races, kirk and alexis, Brady and Quinn. Both have been cordial with the exception of pointing out alexis Broadway bank mob connections.... which is true btw. I'm with Anton though.... the ads will mostly be "witchy" on both sides. That's sad that that seems to be the only way to get voters riled up enough to get off the coach and go vote.

I hate the ******* IL Democrats for making me have to vote for that scumbag - might as well as let Blago sell the seat to Jesse Jackson Jr.

nobody is "making" you vote for any particular party Jim.

Moy - I am a middle and high school football coach so I completely understand and many times wish that people would just "get off the coach"

Actually, the polls so far show that both parties' bases are already more riled up than usual for a midterm - the Dems moderately so, and the Pubs' numbers are through the roof.

Of course, those numbers only apply to the party faithful... haven't seen anything indicating what the numbers are like for indies.

I know but I always vote against Republicans especially for a Senate seat.

I have seen polls saying Dems are about the same as normal, but I have never seen a poll indicating a higher level of excitement than normal.

I've been a big kirk fan for years. Worked in district 10 for 3 years while he's been beating up on Dan seals. My wife is best friends with bradys daughter and we declined dinner with them a couple times but he has my vote. Guess we will be cancelling each other out ;)

I'm from the 11th Ward in Chicago, it's a birthright to be able to vote more than once.
