How many games, at bats, etc does a player need to stay under to still be considered a rookie the following season?
Last that I really paid attention, I think in HBD all that matters for ROY eligibility is that they are listed with 0 ML years, which basically just means they needed to have not been on the ML roster for at least 20 days in their first season.  I know that was the case at first, don't know if they've changed it.  The MLB rules are 130 ABs for position players and 50 IP for pitchers.

If you open up the player card and put your mouse over player years, it shows exactly what fraction of a year that player is up to. And I believe its 20 minor league days off the ml roster.

He really shouldn't, but in HBD, I'm pretty sure he does.
That's dumb. They should fix that ****. I guess we will find out soon enough. When the season starts I should be able to sort league leaders by rookies and ill report back.

Im pretty sure that its ~150 abs and 50IPs in HBD.  Case in point, Jerry Magadan was a ROY candidate in S16, but not S17
