We need 1 owner for a Diamond Legends or Career Progressive League which started in 1901 and will soon be advancing to the 1908 (it's 8th) season.

In the Diamond Legends (or Career) WIS leagues, players use their average career statistics. In this specific league, that will mean using their average career statistics in a progressive from their first year of eligibility starting in 1901 through their last year of WIS eligibility. In this league, Joe Jackson (whose rookie season of WIS eligibility was 1908) will be eligible every season from 1908-1922-no IR seasons !!

The league has 12 teams, Alternate WIS format B (4 teams make playoffs) No DH,No WW, No AAA, No injuries. Salary Cap $80 million. All ballparks are eligible. Owners may use any city and team name which strikes their fancy.. 

The initial draft will be snake style random lottery using random.org. I will do the random lottery but regardless of the results of the lottery I will not draft higher than 5th. Annual drafts will be in inverse order of finish except that for the first round only there will be a random weighted lottery among the 4 teams with the worst record (4 chances for the team with the worst record, 3 chance for 2nd worst etc.). The tiebreaker will be run differential (runs scored less runs allowed) with the team with the worst run differential drafting higher.

The league is exceptionally well balanced. With 20 games remaining in the 1907 season, no team is more than 17 games behind their division (league) leader. The Sudbury team is in the AL and currently has a record of 71-71 5 games behind the AL leader.

The team available is the Sudbury V Neutrinos, currently playing in Nationals park (home of the Washington Nationals).

The team name may be changed to anything you like and the team may be moved to any unused ballpark (I will post a list of currently used ballparks in the league's private forum).

The Sudbury team had 1 player retire at the end of the 1907 season.

We are currently posting cuts. A new owner's first task will be to decide how many of the 24 roster players to cut before the 1908 season. We post cuts for this league rather than keepers. The league private forum includes a pre-draft and pre-cut Official Roster for every team. Any player not cut remains on the Official Roster.

I will be happy to try to answer any questions about the Career League format.

Cool idea.....I am interested but not quite ready to commit. If you still have an opening in a couple of days I might bite.

So the only change from year to year with this league is in the personnel not in the stats of the players. Is that correct? I am interested.
