Capitalism doesn't only mean making money. It means pleasing customers in a way that won't kill your profits but will also foster loyalty in the customer base and spawn years of successful transactions between greatful business employees and pleased customers. I'm finding that there's a disconnect here. It's quite unfortunate.

So now from the last response we are getting to the point where they will/do allow transfers of teams credited to league founders. But they want to treat us like numbers instead of people still.

How do we keep track of the different teams in our draft center? Maybe if ones eligible to be transferred because of the theme founder credit and the ones paid in full as part of a 6 pack were marked to differentiate them from the ones received for credits received by making the playoffs, TOC, etc. it would work but, really.

I will make a request next for them to do this and maybe then they will see that is doesn't really matter which teams a commish gives up.
This is exactly what needs to happen:

Maybe the reason there are so few openings in progressives in the classifieds is that there are simply fewer commishes out there who want to do the job.The whole process of being a commish can be a first class pain in the rear end as it is.Remember,a good commish brings continuity,a lot of repeat players and a boost to the bottom line. You add in this penny ante petty bullcrap from admin and it's little wonder there are a diminishing number of progressives out there.Note to management: You are killing this by screwing the very people who bring you continual business, that is ,the commishes.A good commish keeps players happy and keeps your cash flow going.Give your heads a shake. You should be bending over backwards to help them, not hinder them.

Hey big_dowg, couldn't have said it better myself.

I loved the Progressives and was commish for quite a few but just couldn't tolerate the constant turnover and having to find new owners. Offered many free teams to fill the leagues but felt like I was constantly funding 2 or 3 teams every season just to keep the leagues going.

Here lies the problem, the way I see it:
1 Progressive of 24 Teams produces $238.80. That is using a cost of $9.95 for each team which is what the price would be if everyone purchased their teams as part of a six-pack. Minus the free team ($9.95) they give the Commish for Founding the League still leaves $228.85 of revenue.
Evidently Administration would rather see leagues fold and get NO revenue (ZERO) than give up $2.95 to help keep a league going that will produce $228.85.

Just another example of how this site continues to go downhill since Fox took over. The "2012" SLB update "might" be here in 2016, but I won't hold my breath.

Keep in mind, this provided revenue for WhatifSports, not me.

If some owners are buying teams at the full price of $12.95 the revenue would be more. If you minus the free team ($9.95) they give the Commish for Founding the League still leaves $228.85 of revenue.
Evidently Administration would rather see leagues fold and get NO revenue (ZERO) than give up $2.95 to help keep a league going that will produce $228.85.

You will lose more than $2.95 if you base your business decisions on greed instead of keeping your customers happy.

Hi Robert,

We recently reviewed and refined our policies in order to make them more consistent. Our policy is that we do not transfer Sim League teams or Dynasty seasons - they must be converted into a site credit at the rate you paid for them and then that credit can be transferred to another user. Our previous policy did allow Sim League transfers but only when the team was paid for in full. However, there were some cases where it was not followed when it should have been.

We provide a few different ways for discounts on teams and seasons and they have always been meant to only be used for that user. Credits earned are not transferable and discounts from multi-packs are not eligible to be spread around.

We do appreciate our league founders and we provide them with a Theme League Founder's credit. This credit is there to help them out but it is eligible to be transferred to another user (via CS ticket). This has to be done before it's used however. Also, gift certificates can be purchased and sent to users using a payment or reward points. This is the preferred way of sending something to a user.

As always we welcome feedback from our users.

"Our previous policy did allow Sim League transfers but only when the team was paid for in full. However, there were some cases where it was not followed when it should have been."

The obvious question that just popped into my head as I re-read some of the above notes...Who's decision was it to not follow the previous policy? Was it the commissioner's, who asked for teams to be transferred? Or was it customer service, who was answering the tickets and then processing them?

So once the precedent is set, is it truly worth the sacrifice of customer perception and general feeling toward your company to then punish the customer's who were previously being granted something that was "against policy"?

This seems to go against best business practices. Profits are of course important, but sometimes a small profit now sacrifices a larger profit later. I'm certain that someone from management has by now read this thread, or will in the future. And my hope is that somebody with a combination of business savvy and customer service skills will read this and realize the consequences of such actions.
