An excellent opportunity has arisen for an owner with room for another progressive league teams.
An owner in the Alpha League has informed me he will not return for next season, which will be our 6th. His team won the World Series in season 4 and is currently in 1st place in it's division in season 5 leading by 2 games with a record of 96-50.
The Alpha League progresses 2 seasons at a time. Next season will be the 1895/1896 season. Each season owners get to select which season their players will use (assuming both seasons are in the WIS database).
The league as a whole will have a shortage of players for the next 3 seasons until the 1901/1902 season when a sufficiency of talent will be available. However, the available team, the Philadelphia Quakers, is one of only 3 or 4 that will have sufficient draft picks to fill the roster in 1895/1896. The hitting is in excellent shape and there is a nucleus of 4 good pitchers on the roster. 1 or 2 pitchers and a 3B (a very good 3B will be IR) are needed. The team will have 7 draft picks and there will be enough players to fill those slots.
For those teams not having enough players to draft (and some teams need 15 or 16) $200k scrubs from 2001-2010 will be drafted and can be replaced by AAA players.
I will list the roster for the Quakers below. For interested owners, I will give access to the league's private forum. This is an excellent team and a good opportunity for those interested in the early days of MLB. Please do not indicate interest unless you anticipate being able to continue for at least 5 seasons-we have a very stable league with commited owners.
I will award the team to the first qualified owner to commit.
