New Two-Timing Progressive-3 In Topic

Hello All,

After joining and playing a couple seasons in some progressives/regressives I though I'd try my own. If you're aren't interested, no big deal. Wish you good luck and hope we play with each other in the future.

The Two-Timing Progressive will be two 12-team leagues within one. Season 1 will start with the first two seasons in the database and progress two seasons at a time with each league leap frogging the other. Basically the NL will draft from and use players from 1885 in Season 1, then will use 1887 in Season 2, 1889 in Season 3 and so on. The AL will draft from and use players from 1886 in Season 1, then will use 1888 in Season 2, 1890 in Season 3 and so on. This will still allow us to use all players in the database, with no overlapping and get through the database faster. We won't be able to draft a full 25-man roster the first few seasons so any post-2000 $200K scrub can be used as filler.

Most(if not all) progressives draft *just rookies* in the next season's draft - is that the situation here?

Yes and No. Every season the draft class would include that seasons rookies and the previous seasons 2nd year players since we leap frog each season. Basically you'd draft from 2 rookie classes each draft.

So then the NL with the '85 players and the AL with the '86 players are both going to have the same players, just different years of each player.
