The Original Icon League, a single-season franchise progressive entering our 15th season, has two openings (Dodgers and Padres). The Icon league places great emphasis on history, so if you like a little dose of reality with your sim, this is the league for you.

Here's the gist of it:

1) Any player who spent his entire career with a single franchise automatically gets assigned to that team.
2) You will inherit all of your franchise’s Career Keepers and Team Icons throughout the duration of the progressive.
3) There are players that qualify as Team Icons (who played the majority of their career for a single team--e.g. Dale Murphy, or for a defunct/expansion franchise--e.g. Bryan Harvey) who are automatically assigned.
4) Players who played for several teams can only be drafted by one of the teams he played for. These players may be traded freely among teams for which he played. 
5) We use 12/6 way below average AAA which are used to help fill out your roster as well as manual placement of AAA for career keepers who fail to meet AB/IP limits for the league.

DH: AL only
Trades: Yup (picks two seasons in advance)
Alignment: 6 divisions of 4, as close to reality as possible
AAA: currently 12/6, planning to reduce
Draft order: set at 120, currently 48 games, planning to reduce to 40 or 42
Transaction deadline: trades at 120, callups allowed all season long
Salary Cap: None

I will accept this generous offer. This is my first progressive, but I am willing to commit myself to this season, and, at the very least. Return your generosity if I decide not to continue.

What do you know, it's 2000 and the Dodgers and Padres appear to be in need of new owners. They just need a little love. Padres pick 3rd and own two additional 2nd round picks. Dodgers select 9th, have a superb draft class (Furcal, Bradley, Pierre, Garland, Penny)  and own an extra 1st round pick in 2001.
