received comment that we should NOT have interleague play so bad teams won't play good ones.  I think I am on board with that but would like feedback

I'd be fine with that.  But bad teams would still play good teams in their League.

I also had a though, and I'd like to see what others think:  If we don't use the Yankees as a franchise, why not draft individual Yankees, who would be used in conjunction with your franchise's season.  As an example, if you are using 2011, and you drafted A-Roid (!), you'd have to use his 2011 season.  If your next season is 1999, then his 99 season, and so on.  My only thing would be one Yankee per team...so maybe HoFers only (if there's 24 HoFers from 67-present).

Or, instead of a draft, pick one Yankee from the season you are using for your franchise - if I use the 73 WhiteSox, then I get to add one 73 Yankee

Also a fine idea.  Make them exclusive, too.  Or not.  Might be interesting if we all had a 77 Reggie Jackson or something.

I'll take the Astros.  I would prefer interleague play, everyone from the same division would be playing the same teams anyway, so I wouldn't matter that much.  Plus it would break up the monotony of playing the same teams all season.

I'm intrigued but why would anyone take one of their teams "bad" seasons. The idea is unique and cool and all that jazz but isn't everyone planning on playing the best seasons to start? And then when you run out of the best seasons, just bail?

we may have to put in some rules regarding total win pct per X number of seasons or something

that said.....playing with a bad team you could end up in the al west with other bad teams and have a BETTER chance of winning.   Using a winning season you almost guarantee you will battle other good teams.   make sense?

it has as much to do with your division competition as anything

what about teams that don't field a 25 man roster?  how will you fill in the spots?
6/13/2012 6:15 PM
sh*t....I accidently hit "report" to that last question.   mistake

question was regarding teams without 25 players to fill roster.   Shouldn't be many of them, but I'm sure there will be some.

I guess we can use 200k from any  year of franchise

I don't think I've ever had a post reported before :)

I like this idea - it would give the lowly teams (aka Cubbies) something to look forward to

sounds very interesting!  think i'll go with my ny mets!

interleague is always fun. take or leave the yankee idea(but would prefer from same season as your franchise yr

I also like the idea of drafting  1 Yankee using the year that you will be using. Interleague play I am okay with either way...
