Let me change what positions by players can play from the "player rest" and "defensive replacements" screen, since this is where you are when you are you are managing this aspect of the game.  Should just require a link on their current primary position, like is available on the "roster management" screen.
I REALLY like this...it is easy to do already but it would be even easier to do it from here.

Making something that is already easy even easier shouldn't be a priority.

Giving too many programming suggestions is counter-productive.  They already wasted a shitload of time/money/effort on the new forums.

Never said it should be a priority, but in simple coding terms it could be done in an afternoon.  Simply need to make the current position indicator a hotlink on those two pages.

Because there is already a system in place that handles it easily. Just because it might take just one afternoon, though I doubt, means little.

Whatever.  This is a suggesion area and it occured to me while setting my backup positions that this would speep up the process.  Roster moves where easy too before advanced roster moves came along, but now they are easier and faster.  Perhaps you don't spend much time on setting defensive backups and player rest hiearchies, but some of us do.  Opposition to this idea is silly.

It is suggestion area. But if there was no retort, things would get changed or added because a number of people would want it without a dissenting opinion.

And rest and defensive hierarchy is a thing I do all the time. But it's so freakin' easy right now. I can't see how anyone could think otherwise.
