A Better Amateur Draft (aka the Pujols Problem) Topic

I'm not the only person who hates the idea of maybe getting lucky with late round picks at the expense of maybe getting unlucky with early picks.    Pretty much everyone hates it.   You just can't see it.

I think he might see it.  But after a couple of weeks of unsuccessfully being able to "sell" the idea, he's too stubborn to back down.   So he's doing the next best thing . . . dump it in ADMIN's lap so that he can blame them when it doesn't happen.

Cheap shot, tec.

A handful of people have said they don't like the idea. 99% of HBD players probably are unaware of this discussion. I submitted the idea. If HBD isn't interested, as I said, no biggie. Blame isn't part of the equation.

Everyone who has bothered to post in this thread thinks it's the worst idea ever.

Worst idea ever.

See what  I mean?

Mike, I don't get this need to not only stomp on someone's idea, but to try to break them. Is your ego so small that you will only get satisfaction if I recant my idea? Do you really need to keep up the attacks?

Again, if WIS likes the idea, great. If they don't, no biggie.

Move on, Mike. Please. You're embarrassing yourself.

Seriously, we've seen this before from others who post a similarly and widely rejected idea.

If five people respond, all with a negative reaction, it's always just "the vocal minority".  Same for 20 people.  Would it be the same for 50?  For 200?  How many does it take?

Wouldn't you think that a representative cross-section of people check the forums and respond to ideas?  Or do you feel that it's just the negative folks, opposed to all ideas?

Oh, the irony of the "why do you keep attacking" and "move on" comments.
8/13/2010 11:07 AM

sandy, you're promoting the idea.   I'm discrediting the idea.   It's just opposing viewpoints.  No attack involved.

However, if you're ready to move on, you'd stop bumping this thread.   Until you do, I feel that I should comment.  Otherwise, you'll begin to think "How about that?  I bumped this thread 9 times in the last week.  No one responded.  They must have changed their mind and like it!!!!!!"

Tec, five people -- most of whom regularly say no to any new idea -- isn't a big cross-section.

That's why, once again, I sent the idea along to WIS. Once again, if they don't like it, no biggie.

I'm fine with no more comments on the subject.

* This isn't a new idea, sanderbear.

But it's a far more detailed bad idea.   And he's a lot more persistent.

Most of who say no to any DUMB new idea.

Good new ideas either get the thumbs up or no comment. Because, no comment = tacit approval.

We have all made dumb suggestions. The difference is, when no one else embraces it, we drop it.

You seem to be a sucker for punishment.
