"What's the difference between cash during FA period and cash at the All Star break?"
Seriously?
The end result is the same. A higher budget.
I can give you $5 now, or I can give it to you in 3 weeks. What's different?
I've been involved in cash/trades many times. Ive been on both sides of the coin. i've had guys I desperately want to dump and the only way I can get rid of them is if I pay their salary. And I've wanted to take on guys when I've had salary space available but wasn't willing to commit ALL of it to the player. NONE of my cash trades were COLLUSIVE. Cash in trades is part of the game. It's part of real life. I have absolutely no idea what the big deal is.
I think vetoing a cash trade on the basis of cash is ridiculous. You're welcomed to do it, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to call you stupid.
