you sure?

WifS checks once a month, adds suggestions to the list, filters them down to 'possibly' and 'this will never happen', then prioritizes the former with the other suggestions yet to be implemented.

I think this is a good suggestion.  I check other team's prospect budgets all the time when deciding what to bid on an IFA.... there's probably not a good reason that I should know that information.

I'm going to bring this up again.   We're closing down Free Agency in Hamilton.   A couple of studs were out there.   At least two of us knew who was bidding on who and how much.  Is that a good thing?    Now I know the guy who lost in the bidding to me(I knew how high he could bid) has 3.2m on someone else.

This is just silly.    Does this ever happen in baseball?

It is almost on the verge of collusion.  Take two guys that know each other and are the #1 and #2 highest guys with prospect budget.  They can tell they have everyone beat - #2 says to #1 "Hey, I know you can get this guy if you want so I'm not going to bid, so all you have to beat is #3".  I won't say I've never done this before, but I'm really starting to think it is unfair.

Or if you are #2 you know exactly how much salary you need to clear to top #1 with 100% certainty of landing a stud.

Not that I would do this, of course.

I hadn't even thought of that.  But, yeah, one could do that.

You would never trade away $8 million to be able to transfer in $4 to your prospect budget to land the number one guy.

Not even if he was named Jorge Posada and projected to 100 contact as well as 100 power.

Making other team's budgets invisible would increase the difficulty of this game for noob owners.  Budgeting is the most important decision a owner makes and hiding that info would make the budgeting process more of a trial and error type decision.  Imagine a newbe who decides to lower there medical and training year one to 6/6 (virtually all vets would agree this is a awful idea).  It would take three seasons to undo that damage.  Throw in a few key prospects going down for 200+ days, and most owners would lose interest.

Hide the individual team budgets.  Keep the averages for each category visible on the "Budget Analysis" page.

This is one case where I'm just going to say "The n00b needs to know before he does.  If he doesn't, he better ask somebody."

While n00b-protection is something I feel very strongly about, that doesn't override the fact that everyone can see everyone else's budget.  And that's wrong.  tec's comment should resolve your issue.

Tec's solution would sove the n00b problem.

Bumping, because it's a great idea that should be implemented.

Agreed. Not sure how i missed it the first time round, much like IFA starting signing bonus, which needs removing/neutralising/varying.
