Yeah, this has been pooped on repeatedly.

Good intent, too many "side effects".

I will state this; I'd rather see the $4 for last place redistributed to the minors.

I get all the unintended consequences thing, but I'd rather have someone try for a AAA championship than try for last place in their division.

But, I have a problem with people who don't take care of their minors. It's lazy. It's determental to the long term health of their organization. I just want to take the guy that has 19 minor leaguers at each level and kick them in the balls. Hard. So they retract.

I try to care about other people's minors.  I really do.  But I just can't work up the energy.   A pitcher with 13 control and splits of 8/14 will be horrible at 100% or 0%.  I've tested this.   So all these "Must have 18 pitchers at each minor league level" or "No 0(0) pitchers in the minors" amounts to less than a hill of beans.

It's not right.

But it's a different suggestion.

I agree.  It's also no fun to sweep a 4 games series in AAA by a combined score of 87-2.  I don't really buy the argument of "it's just extra AB's for my hitters".

There's an owner in one of my worlds who completely ignores his minors.  A quick exercise with my calculator shows that through 17 1/2 seasons, his total minor league record (all levels) is 1846-9535.  That's a .162 winning percentage.

OK.  Holding back players who could help you go from 72 wins to 84 wins so you can romp in the WS.

Really?   The talent to make a 12 win difference in the BL isn't enough to sway the outcome of AAA games?   That's an odd stance to take.   I really don't think I can argue against your "point" because I damn sure didn't see it coming.

If it's "two freaking dollars", do you really think that's enough to encourage people to manage their minor league roster carefully?   Two dollars for 90 days worth of effort?   Sorry, I'd wipe my *** with two dollars before I'd let you force me to play a game for 90 days.
