It would be nice if you could assign catchers to specific SP's.

Being that you can adjust your batting order for every game.  You can do this if you remember which C and SP

You're a fricking genius.. Not sure if you know this but you can also manually redo your roster for each game but its not always convenient..

Some like to use better PC catchers with lesser pitchers.   Or it could be used to give a catcher a scheduled day off.

And I'd like to insert certain infielders and outfielders into the lineup based on my different pitchers' gb/fb.

Would you really? I feel fortunate if I can wrangle up 8 competent players in the field who can swing a bat, much less have so many options that I can be bringing guys in off the bench based on gb/fb...

If you are giving players a day off now and then to keep them fresh you might as well pick and choose the best situation. Its nice to find backups that can either platoon, or a defensive SS that is pretty good against lefties or a defensive 2b/CF that can steal bases, etc. It may take a few seasons to get and develop these players but they should be available pretty cheaply thru IFA or in the 2nd thru later rounds of the am draft, and often thru the rule 5.

And when I have a 98 gb/fb pitcher on the mound I'd be more likely to move my LF to RF and put a 1B or C in LF to get a little more offense in the game. It also allows me to sign LF/RFs with lower durability knowing I can rest them more easily without worrying about the fielding of their replacement.
