Maybe we should be given 24 hours to change our mind on everything in HBD.

Budget day is 24 hours.  Now you have a 24 hour grace period to change it.
FA signing.   Now you have 24 hours to un-sign a player if you get mocked in the world chat.
Trading.   Not only can you change your vote, you can change your mind and trade the players back 24 hours after completion!
Setting line-up and pitching.  DO-OVERS!!!!

This sounds like fun, right?

Budget day: you have 24 hours to change your budget as often as you want.  It doesn't work as if you go into the budget page, change your numbers, leave the page, and you are locked in.  Imagine that!  You can change your mind during that 24 hour period, and readjust your budget!

Free Agents: when bidding on free agents during the FA period, they don't start signing for at least 24 hours.  It doesn't work as if you go into the FA negotiation page for a player, make a bid, leave the page, and you are locked in to that bid.  Imagine that!  You can change your mind during that 24 hour period, and either change your bid or withdraw it altogether!

Lineups and Pitching: in between game cycles, you can change your lineup and your pitching rotation (except for next game starter).  It doesn't work as if you go into the lineup or pitching staff pages, make some changes, leave the page, and you are locked in to lineup/staff for the next game.  Imagine that!  You can change your mind during that 8 hour period, and either change your lineups, upcoming pitching rotation, configuration of your bullpen, pitch counts, etc.!

What a novel concept!

When some smug owner starts ******** on the world chat about a trade, that you have already decided to accept, now has you questioning initial belief there is the problem. Every single fact about the trad is right there infront of you at the time to vote. It takes about ten seconds to glance over a players card to see their value so if you have a trade involving 6 players it should take no more time then one minute to weight the trade.

I don't think a trade should take 24 hours in the first place. A trade should go thought/be vetoed the next cycle that the proper number of votes are received. If the trade has enough votes for approval/veto what is the point of waiting the whole time.

As far as the I made a mistake excuse, well live with it and shout that you made an error. It does happen and if a trade is vetoed because of your mistake fix the mistake on the resubmitted trade. You screwed over a couple of owners my clicking the wrong button think about what you did and don't let that happen anymore.

No, I need more time for everything.   What if I budget and see that a bunch of people have 20m in prospect and I only have 18m?    What if I bid on a FA, he signs and I notice a better FA is still available?   What if, after I hurriedly set my line-up, I'm able to check in 10 hours later only to find out I made a mistake?

MORE TIME AND LESS ACCIDENTS!!!!!

Nice try.

You know you don't have a valid argument for why you're against this other than "because I said so", so now you're throwing a bunch of **** (i.e. ridiculous examples) at the wall just to see if anything will stick.

FAIL!

So the standards the United States of America uses wrt voting isn't a valid reason?

You vote when you know not when someone convinces you of what you know.  The whole "accidental" vote is nonsense.    Approve on the left, Veto on the right, "Are you sure?" always asked.    If you screw that up, you shouldn't be allowed to vote.

This.

This isn't voting for President.  It's making a decision in an internet game.

Surely you can see the difference.

I get months, perhaps a year, even 4-8 years in some cases to decide if I like a certain canidate for president.

I get 24 hours to approve a trade.

Apples/oranges, you clearly have no valid reason against it other than "because I said so"
