"option" next starter Topic

The world I'm in has started the minor league playoffs, and in setting my rotations, I figure to use my top 3 guys, and maybe a 4th guy if he is needed for an occasional start. I understand why WIS picks out your next starter in line for the next game as soon as the game before it is simmed. However, if it were real life, I might change my starter based on how the last game went. It would be nice if we could set a "if Game 3 is won" starter and a "if Game 3 is lost" starter. Does that make sense?

Game 1: Starter 1
Game 2: Starter 2
OFF DAY
Game 3: Starter 3

Say I split Games 1 and 2. I go into Game 3 knowing I will either be down 2-1 or up 2-1 after it is over, obviously. But I have to set my Game 4 starter before I know which it will be. If I win Game 3 to go up 2-1, I would prefer to have Starter 4 pitch Game 4, thus saving my #1 starter for either the decisive Game 5 or for Game 1 of the next round should I close the series out in Game 4. But if I lose Game 3, then I would like my #1 guy to come back to pitch Game 4, down 2-1.

If there is some way we can have that option, to check some "if win" or "if lose" box to determine our next starter, then that would be great.

I've always thought of this as an "it's just the way it is" situation.  Can't believe a solution so simple never came to me.  I think it's a good idea; dunno if they'll actually implement it, but the game would certainly be better for it.

I think it's strange that the starters for game one aren't locked in earlier.  It just happened to in the majors for game one of the LCS.  I was hoping to see who I was facing in game 1, but nothing was locked in even a few minutes before the cycle simmed.  I guess I never noticed before but I would think the starters should be locked in starting with the cycle before the game.

I've always just looked at my opponent's roster to see which pitcher is designated as Starter #1. Sure, they can change it after I look at it, but most set their rotation early on rather than later. And it has always been who I expected it to be.
