I'll be the first to admit that this is the least important add that anyone will suggest on the HBD sites. That said, the designer in me would really like the ability to upload my own logo for my team.

Again, it's a VERY minor add that does nothing more than add a little flair, but I think its fun none the less.

If not that, maybe have a color palette so you could pick your hat and logo color.

I dont think its "least important". I really dislike all of the generic logos for each time. I'd love to see some creativity shine, and give teams the real ability to create their own unique logos.

That's never going to happen.  "Unique" turns into "offensive" pretty quickly on the internet.    Although the ability to change colors seems pretty reasonable.     Seems like every team I had was brownish/yellowish/orangeish at one time.

I play in a fantasy hockey league on another website.. one which allows you to upload your own logos.

More than 80% of teams don't bother to have a custom logo.

Of the teams that do, I have seen *1* even borderline offensive logo (and that was just cleavage).

Yes, there is a possibility for abuse. But its no worse than creating an "offensive" team name when you first sign up. Or writing an offensive post in the forums. I think its a feature that a LOT of people would like, and that the plusses would outweigh the POSSIBLE negatives.

There's a mechanism in place to report offensive posts. Do the same with the logos. Problem solved.

"I know it when I see it" is where the problem lies.    I don't find very much on the internet offensive.   But I haven't been given "internet Monitor" powers.   What offends you, or me, isn't the same thing that offends another owner.    It's just not worth the hassle from a company standpoint.

You have a logo with cleavage.  You **** me off.  I report you to WifS saying I see a nipple(maybe it's a shadow).   Your logo is removed.    Opens a vendetta door that may as well stay closed.

Meh. I dont live in a world where I am afraid of offending someone. And it takes a lot to offend me. People need to get over themselves.

If you're implying that I fear offending someone, I'll refer you to the end of S13/beginning of S14 in Cooperstown.

Just sayin' it's a hassle that WifS doesn't need.

WIS needs to do something to invigorate the game a bit. They're losing owners, and not attracting enough new ones. Implementing something like this would help owners grow an attachment to their team. Its not a golden egg by itself, but could be part of a larger picture that WOULD be worth their hassle.

Also, make it cost additional money to change your logo after you create it. That will discourage people from getting spiteful and creating an offensive logo as they're leaving the game.

Be cool if something minor like this was unlocked for every 2 or 3 seasons you had a team in a particular league. Would give you more of a feeling of ownership when you got to 15 seasons and had 5 little easter eggs unlocked.

This is a good idea.  Give loyalty bonuses (like personalized logos) for people with 20+ paid seasons.  Give nerdy sweatshirts for guys with 50+ paid seasons.  Give free psychiatric services to guys with 10,000+ posts.

What makes you think they are losing owners?

Or, is the game better because new owners are drawn in because they can create a pretty logo?
