We should definitely go after Bill Gates to pay more so Wilma Welfare and Marky Middleclass can buy a 48" HD TV.

I'd agree if all billionaires gave like Gates and the tax money went to HDTVs. But they don't and it doesn't.

Found this interesting .... From the CDC website. % of smokers based on education and based on poverty. In particular more than 1 out of 4 people BELOW the poverty line waste money on cigarettes. Why MUST the rich (or any tax payer) WASTE money on those that can't use it to better their livelyhood? Education is another parallel.... We should be spending money educating these people, not on enabling bad, costly habits yet they still collect a check. What good that does.

That 27.9% should be sending ME back a rebate. I've got 2 kids going to daycare for over $2000/mo I've got to pay for and uncle Sam isn't helping with that.

Pretty sure you can deduct children on your taxes.   YOU should be sending ME a rebate.    I'm not responsible for you raising your kids.

At least I'm 'raising' them. I don't have a problem helping people that actually give a **** about themselves and others.

Are you?  Sounds like you're dropping 'em off for someone else to raise.

Nope .... Nor are casinos and lottery tickets.... But all three are a complete waste of money, bad investments. Why should I support habits I disagree with? Did you like supporting a war in Iraq?

I'm all for ways to help the poor better use the money they do have.  Smoking is dumb.

So now you want to tell the poor and the rich how to use their money?

OK then.

What income group can decide, on their own, how to use their money?
6/10/2014 4:42 PM
I'm not for banning cigarettes to those who make less than X dollars, if that's what you think I'm saying.
