I've determined that all posts to this thread by BL after he declared that it was pointless to continue to argue, provide less marginal utility to this thread, and should be disregarded.
That's actually a pretty good example. Both sides really ran out of steam about 20 pages ago and everything since has been useless.
THIS POST PROVIDES MINIMAL MARGINAL UTILITY.

REJECTED!!

It's a utility vehicle

Since BL has nothing left to argue, maybe he'll explain this:

Paying taxes is part of the deal that comes with living in America(your words).   So, if that's the case, why are you so against a sales tax replacing income tax?

And don't tell me about "shifting the tax burden from rich to poor" because you don't know that.   Unless you're admitting that some people live here and do not pay taxes.   Which, according to you, is something they should do as "part of the deal".

Worst answer ever.

I've answered, several times, why I'm against shifting to a sales tax. Why spend time answering again for someone who has blocked me? He's free to unblock and go back and read.

Right.  You don't like the idea of the poor paying increased sales taxes.  Yet you also say that paying taxes is "part of the deal" for living here.

Those two answers don't quite go together.

Sure they do.

Paying taxes is part of life. Everyone does it. Setting policy that increase taxes on the poor and middle class is bad for the economy.

Setting policy that creates jobs and expands the tax base and reduces the tax burden across the board is good for every class.

Explain "expands the tax base."
