Of course, BL won't understand this because the only legit causes are the ones he believes in.

Well, that and he's a ******* idiot.

You don't think that protests and riots can ever be justified?
Are protests and riots the same thing in your world?

The ******* Idiot World?    Probably.

Would it be OK to riot because Edgar Martinez does not get enough HOF votes?
5/1/2015 4:52 PM
Of course.  Especially if the writers didn't give Kenny Lofton "serious consideration" too.

Well, riots are a form of protest but, even if you think that they are completely separate, in this case we are seeing both.

So, I ask again, do you think protests and riots can ever be justified?
5/1/2015 4:59 PM
So you think they're the same thing.  Protest = riot?

Riots are a form of protest. Like all shirts are clothes but not all clothes are shirts.

I answered your question (twice). Answer mine.

Can protests and riots ever be justified?

You seem to be lumping protests and riots together, as if they're the same thing, and as if you're expecting a single answer.

Are you expecting one single answer to your question?

Since riots can be a form of protest, I'll just remove the word protest.

Can riots ever be justified?

Riots are lawless behavior.

They cannot be justified in a civilized society.

Really? Ever? You can't imagine ANY scenario where a riot would be justifiable?

I'm sure BL is going to harken back to the Boston Tea Party at some point.     I like to think we've advanced beyond that now.

Or maybe he'll point to North Korea, or some Middle Eastern fuckstick country, and explain how the government treats them.    I like to think we're a little more advanced in 'murica.

But, then again, he's a ******* idiot so I can't imagine he understands that.

I think we have to agree to disagree on this. Whether or not this specific case justifies rioting, there are scenarios where it is an acceptable means to an end.

Attention. If the entire system is racist, who can you sue?

To fix the problem, enough people have to admit that the problem exists.
Al Sharpton knows the president. If you have a specific law you want passed he can probably help make it happen. Laws are passed by the 3 branches of govt, not courtrooms.... Why would you sue to make a change?
