Asked and answered.
The Confederate flag, like the cross, has no personal meaning to me, but it would be insane for me to claim that either one doesn't have a general symbolism.
Well, you didn't answer.
Let me rephrase.
You seem to be saying that one's personal beliefs or opinions may not always be true, i.e. in line with reality.
Does this apply to you? Are you admitting that sometimes the personal beliefs and opinions you offer here might be just plain wrong?
I did. You just don't like the answer. Please stop asking the same question over and over again.
Personal meaning of a symbol is personal and varies. The cross, for example, means nothing to me.
General symbolism doesn't vary. The cross, the Confederate flag, the swastika, etc all have general symbolism regardless of any one person's personal feelings toward that symbol.
