So there you go, Dubose put himself in this situation. if Dubose had been a law abiding citizen.... as in he hadn't had a history of traffic violations, had a front license plate, had his Drivers License, didn't have an open bottle of gin in the car I'd say its highly unlikely he would feel the need to flee. If he doesn't flee he'd have got a warning and would've been on his merry way to take care of his 10 kids. There were a lot of choices on Dubose part that put him in the situation where he got shot. The cop made bad choices too.

If "he made choices that put him in that (bad) position" THEN "he deserves a share of the blame for what happened". TWO people can be wrong. Dubose was wrong for resisting arrest and fleeing, whereas Tensing was wrong for shooting him BECAUSE he was resisting arrest and fleeing.
