People always talk about how one candidate or the other is going to destroy America.  I've always thought that was the dumbest rhetoric.  Until now.

Donald Trump is actually stupid, impetuous, and stubborn enough to do damage to our nation that would take decades to repair, if it could be repaired.  Dude is terrifying.  Even more terrifying are the number of people who are too stupid or too deeply biased tor recognize how unfathomably ridiculous and potentially harmful so much of what he suggests really is.

I'll back off on this a bit with one caveat . . . .

If the polls had Hillary with a significant lead, I'd abstain from the Presidential vote and just vote the rest of the ballot.

But if it was close . . . it would sicken me, but I'd have to drop a vote on Hillary.  Trump is just too dangerous.

Truth is, Trump won't be a dictator.    He may WANT to do things but we have a system that prevents someone from just doing whatever suits his fancy.

It's ridiculous to think his Presidency would be any different than the rest as far as policy.   He'll have to go thru the same channels as everyone else.   The WORST thing could be potential damage to foreign policy.   While we can chuckle when he insults other candidates, world leaders aren't as likely to find his silliness, well, silly.

It would be interesting to see who Trump would pick as a VP, because if he were to get elected and do the damage that you (and I) anticipate, there's a possibility that he could be impeached (assuming he does something that's actually impeachable).  In which case, his choice for VP is important.

As much as I've disliked the Obama administration, the occasional cries of "IMPEACH OBAMA" from the far right failed to realize that would have meant "President Joe Biden".

"President" Joe Biden would have been a benign, stupid kind of leader...  Kinda like when everyone got together to elect the special ed kid as Prom King.  Everyone would just work around him like he was a political pylon, and occasionally whisper in his ear to wave and smile.
