I'm more concerned with the transparency issue than I am with the security issue. It's not like Clinton hired a dumbshit like moy to set the server up. I think we can reasonably assume the job was done by a professional.

The only reason for a SOS to have their own server is for email. They aren't running a website.

He's a dude in jail making claims without any proof.

Three of the last four SOS's have used their own servers.
Which one of those three is currently seeking to be the POTUS?

Maybe there's a different standard for conduct.

I don't think so. SOS is high enough up that it's either a problem or it isn't. It doesn't suddenly become a problem because you run for President a few years later.

"But they were doing it" is a terrible argument to make.

Next time you see a gang rape in progress, just join in and use that defense.
5/5/2016 1:25 PM
Are you really comparing setting up an email server to joining in on a gang rape?

You know what else sits on servers? Documents. Word docs, Excel docs, PowerPoint docs, PDF docs, .jpg files, etc.

They might not even be knowingly stored on the server, but unwittingly left behind in a cache folder after they've been opened from an email.

Without having a fully secured and encrypted server sitting behind a firewall or two, those docs could be exposed to hackers.

Either you don't know what you're talking about, or you're just trying to trivialize and dismiss the whole thing because she's your girl, whose **** smells like roses.

How do you know the server wasn't encrypted and behind a firewall?

Do you know that is was?

And where do you think a server would be more secure, both physically and from a hardware/software/network security perspective? In a private home, or in a secure government facility?

What does OPM think?

Are you trying to imply that Hillary thought she could provide a more secure infrastructure for her server than the Feds?
5/5/2016 3:02 PM
Not at all. Just that, in actuality, my info on the OPM servers got hacked. If Hillary has anything on me, it may or may not have been hacked.

I think it's safe to assume that her server was behind a firewall. I dont think anyone is worried about physical security. Chinese hackers aren't breaking into Clinton's house.

I'll admit that I'm not a networking and firewall expert, but I sit around 10 feet away from somebody who is. And I'm pretty sure that there's a difference between the firewall software you buy for $69 at Best Buy, and the firewall software that the federal government likely uses for the servers under their jurisdiction.

Can you provide any technical details about the firewall that Hillary used on her server? Or are you just pulling **** out of your *** with your assumptions?
