I might as well add talent on this season and make another run at it before offerman and manny are let go in fa. Hopefully there will be a stud hitter in fa next season.

ive been fairly pleased with his slow decline, it was slow enough i re-signed him. i dont have a frame of reference for what spending 20 would have done, but its not like he just became a scrub overnight or anything

Since the training bug was fixed, the only reason to crank it up max is if you have a team full of old timers.

Or full of players (especially pitchers, imo) that are peaked and about to start declining.

I guess, if that's what you consider old timers.  I wouldn't call someone an old timer until they were late 30's and/or already in rapid decline.
