m_k, I'm not trying to pick a fight on this one. Honest. I want to see what you're seeing. I'd love for there to be real reform of the way the government raises its budget, and the way it spends it. But I can't find anybody from the likely incoming Congressional class who seems to have a clue how to get there.

I would have to know the basics of what you would call budget reform.

No, you wouldn't.

At this point I'm going to have to assume you can't answer the question.

Reminder, Obama thinks that Americans are the enemies.

TY!

Fine. Assume that I do not know. I really do not care. Neither do I care to assume that you have not done a good job looking over the likely incoming Congressional class. Its just petty squabbling over which of us has the wrong idea about budget reform, unless we find some common ground. If you cannot give me your government fiscal ideals, then it does me no good to point out a candidate. Because when I point out the candidate, it will become a debate about our fiscal beliefs rather than the candidates fiscal platform.

Why?
All of them?
The ones who's *** he needs to kick?
The ones who are voting unreasonably?
The ones who should be sitting in the back of the bus?
etc. etc. etc.
Is this what you are thinking about?
Is that calling them enemies?

Holy crap, this is like pulling teeth.

Please try reading what I actually write, instead of what you assume I must have meant. If I were interested in a debate about our respective fiscal beliefs I'd be asking you about your fiscal beliefs.

If you're just not interested in providing the information, fine. But don't attack me for asking you for it in good faith. Knee-jerk bullshit like that is a big part of the problem.

No, Obama thinks bullshit artists who tell Americans not to vote are the enemy. And he's right.

Oh, I apologize. When you said assume, I thought you meant assume. (Imagine a calm confident tone. I dont want you to imagine this is an attack)

Read the following as if stated in a calm confident tone.

I dont have to assume anything. You said that you cant find anyone from the incoming Congressional class who seems to have a clue as to how to get to real financial reform. I think that indicates a very strong sentiment. If there was one that you liked, it would obviously be like taking a shot in the dark to hit on them. I just dont think there is much of a point in showing you anyone. You come across pretty confident of how you feel. Good for you. It looks doubtful I could find a candidate that you and I would fiscally agree with.

Mitt Romney can balance a budget. Actions speak louder than words... Utah Olympics, Massachusetts Governor, VP at Bain & Co, CEO of Bain Capital.

Now if only these newcomers in 2010 that don't have a clue continue to say NO to more Obama spending for 2 years and Mitt can win the repub primaries for 2012 ;)

I am not asking you for candidates you think we could agree on. I am asking for candidates whose specific proposals you agree with. Period. End of request.

The problem here, m_k, is that you seem to think I think I know everything.

Even though I am telling you flat out that I don't, and would like to be further educated.

I said I couldn't find any candidates who I thought had a clue how to get to fiscal sanity. You, on the other hand, seem quite confident that they do and that they will (or at least will get started on the right path). So I asked you if I could take a look at what has you so optimistic, and instead of answering you've been bobbing and weaving like you think I'm trying to trap you somehow.

I don't want a debate on the matter. I simply want to know who and what has you so confident.

read this today - fortune's 'repubs new money men'

http://money.cnn.com/2010/11/01/news/economy/ryan_issa_republicans.fortune/index.htm

basically - the masses of republican newbies coming in combined with the tea-party hype can help the old guard accomplish its fiscal goals. Interesting take I never considered.

btw anton, in case you didn't know.... anton knows everthing.

I'm going to keep reading past "...blocking Obama's agenda" based on your recommendation, but that line alone tells me the writer is missing the point.
