yeah, thats him. I screwed up in season 2 FA.
My favorite part is I remember us calling you out for that contract when you signed it and you said you could afford it because you weren't going to have to pay up for anyone over the life of the deal or something like that.
kinda. I had very little committed at the time starting this season I believe. But, I then traded for Stark and File. I was right at 100 mil last year--I couldnt promote within my minors by the end of the season. I underestimated my needs for season 3 arb and the cost to keep my worthy FAs. So, yeah the Daniels contract became an issue after I made the later moves. I think I did OK in reducing my salary with the 2 deals I made.

I've never even heard of Al Romero.  Seriously, who did he play for?

Grieve shocked lineups so completely that Marc Edmonds was able to win more than 100 games just for coming in after him.  He was the most dominant pitching force the HBD playoffs have ever seen.  My staff was mediocre overall and I still managed to win 7 championships in 8 years.  If Grieve isn't that good, it means that I'm that good.  Take your pick.

Grieve was the glitch that allowed gin to win every game. He played nearly every game and was so dominant that anyone could be credited with a win just for following him in a tandem. Then when he wasn't starting, he would close. Nobody would calll tandems a glitch if not for Grieve.

Grieve was Romero except he pitched two out of every three games, dominated the playoffs, and won titles. His raw stats don't do justice to just how many games he dominated.

Grieve in season 8 was probably the best we'll ever see.

Anyone doubting him should see his career playoff stats. Unreal.

Strong across the board...  but playoff WHIP is what does it for me.
