I basically check in and if it's open I start picking up free agents. I'd never try to circumvent rules, I simply assume the commish is doing their job

Meh, it's a pain to remember to go back in and change it every Tuesday morning.  The rules are well established and posted and we even had it come up at the beginning of the season.

I find the blocking message distracting.  I always end up undoing it because I'd rather just zip past stuff posted by people I'd like to block.

Ideally, there should be an uberblock function where you literally don't see anything if the person posts.
