All the guys I have offered you, based on draft position are at or above what you would probably get in compensation (I think that is true...)
Maybe, but that only matters in the context of who drafted them and how they've been cared for since.

I was pretty much assuming I was getting a 2nd from a team with a protected first for him, the 3rd was disappointing. Thankfully I got the 23rd overall for Albert Little.

Getting only a 3rd and a supplemental for Jeremy Roosevelt this time in $ will probably make me less picky in future cases where I would be dealing a Type A guy.
I have never, in any of my 37 seasons that I can remember, gotten a first round pick for a Type A.  I no longer count on it and I generally am pretty happy with a second.
You really need to be OK with getting just the comp pick for any type A you wind up letting walk.  If I hadnt been such a stickler back when I had victor Pascual, Id have sent him to San Diego, and all three franchises (SD, Cle and NY) wouldve been much better off for it
