I'm not tanking.  I've snafued my budget for this season and need money to sign players, add a FA pitcher or 2 to hopefully get back to 500.  

I was waiting for a player to come of the DL which made Sanchez more expendable, now he has I've traded him and his large 5 year contract to get a RP who will help me in the future.  I've got more depth in the position players v pitchers coming up through the minors.

When bret consulted me on the trade, I wanted to offer more myself but I realized that would be nefarious. I let bret have the victory. I got that one guy from Nellie on similar grounds.

It is really hard to trade DHs, much less get value out of them.

I have in the past. Not everyone values the right stuff to get these bats in the draft, and if they're groomed appropriately, someone looking for power might have an offer in a few seasons. They'll hold some value.

Yeah, that RP's improvement leveled off a few seasons ago. You can't anticipate him being near those projections. He was doomed when gin had him in AAA at 19.

For a 6th season minor leaguer, he's progressed nicely this season, but yeah, I dont expect him to come anywhere close to the numbers he's projected at.  Was he a DITR?

It took you like 3 seasons to trade Hartman and he is way better than either of those guys.

Even then, I think you had to couple him with a couple of other guys to get the guy you landed.

I am not saying you can't do it, but it is much harder to get the value you think you should with DH's.

Yeah, that was the first think I looked at.  He has more pro years than the dude mink gave up.

Yeah, I was thinking Latkes with salmon and applesauce, plus some sort of roasted chicken.  She only started eating chicken again a couple of week ago.  Don't think beef is possible.  Not sure what they do for vegetables and stuff.
