That Gleeman world was funny because people were all mad that the commish hit the button to roll the league Christmas eve and Christmas was the day for budgeting.
Some ****** was trying to recruit me to some most championships world...  The turnover seemed pretty high for a world going into season 2.

I am not sure I like being in worlds that don't have a heavy SHoF presence because it at least limits the number of retards that would do something like that.

Like I said later, the heh was at moy. I agree with everything you said - moy offered me the same deal and I would have taken it if I wasn't planning on turning the roster over next year. That contract isn't bad, unless you assume he's going to keep pitching like he did this year rather than his career norms.
I needed to scale down my payroll since I am firing my 'mediocre' hitting, fielding, and pitching coaches and will need cash in the coaching budget to go after the best available. I also need to start ramping up my $0 HS/Col scouting budgets jic of FA compensation picks. I couldn't afford to gamble on which Ford would show up next season for the $4.4 million.

I might even trade my catcher Chavez and DH Miller for a SP1/SP2 type pitcher to go in the 3 spot. Then I'll just need strong defensive low $ FAs to sub until I can get some hitting prospects in place. Thats the direction I think I'm heading in.

This is going to be fun.
oh - and my training/med budgets are going up to 18/14. I learned my lesson last season in both $ and HR.
So basically, this is an admission that you are a retard and you should have listened to the rest of us.

I don't like leaving teams very much. I did the Ruth league because that was the test world, and I was special. I just never felt like giving that team up.

I jumped into Gleeman because it was a world that the forums seemed to hype and I wanted to see what made them so special. Turns out it's nothing. It's less competitive than ours, and I just made the playoffs last year with a team that's worse than your shtickless team. But that one is even more skewed towards the IFA market. 14 teams have at least 20 in prospect budget.

I sent out invites to two people to take the available teams in the NL West. Still holding out for rlahann, even though he isn't responding. And elixerr just needed me to wait until Friday when he gets paid.

agreed - now focus on winning the $ ws. If I have to give the shtickless world champion trophy up to anyone it definitely can't be robusk.

No way in hell I should win a WS with that team.  The HBD engine is broken if I do.

Back to the international discussion, I think I'm well on my way to coming up empty in Minor Leagues for the 2nd year in a row. It's not that I'm getting outbid, I don't think I've seen any of the legit studs that have come through in the last 2 seasons.
