 Mainstream and logical.
False statement
False statement about my true statement.

My proof is that over and over again mainstream Republicans endorse many of the same ideas I do.

You may have mainstream opinions to a Republican, but that doesn't make them mainstream in general and it certainly does not make them logical.

If HSR is the topic, then your views certainly are not in line with most Americans since 49% support HSR and only 26% oppose.  And I've proven in the past that your views aren't logical.

so......

The interesting part about the poll you are reffering to was that 49% support buildingthem, but less than a third said they would use it.

HSR...a Great idea on paper.

What it said was that 32% would take HSR to their destination.  35% would drive and only 16% would fly.  By your standards, this must mean you are ready to call for the complete defunding of all airline infrastructure.

With almost an equal amount traveling by car and by HSR, we'll save money on infrastructure costs since HSR maintenance is much cheaper than highway maintenance.

So you're right, it looks great on paper and will be logical and practical when built.

I do want it noted that High Speed Rail is different than our original topic of light rail. Light rail projects share less popularity and have a history of failure.

If HSR was going to work why isnt anyone tring to do it, outside of the government?
1/25/2011 7:45 PM
As usual, you have your story incorrect.  The original topic was HSR.  I posted a link to an article about how the Gov's in WI and OH turned down HSR money.  You changed it to light rail.  I even addressed this earlier......
YOU: Light rail isnt just government money, it is a waste. How many misguided and wasted light rail projects do we need in America before we stop funding them?
ME: The topic was high speed rail, but anyway.......

EDIT - Looking back, I did not post the link, but HSR clearly was the topic.  Page 100, 9th post down.

For the same reason that  nobody outside the government was willing to build our auto structure.
1/25/2011 8:24 PM
Can you define Auto Structure?
1/26/2011 5:38 PM
Get in your car and drive somewhere and I think you'll be able to figure it out on your own.
1/26/2011 5:40 PM
Well when you make up a phrase out of the blue I think asking what you mean by it is logical!

auto infrastructure

Highways are different than a rail line. With the exception of toll roads you dont make money from roads.

Someone could build a train and make money. Why isnt anyone?

And again if we could make this work it would be a good thing. I just do not believe Americans will take trains on trips.

So the Tea Party is killing the Patriot Act!

Anyone still going to insist that they are really just Republicans?

You just don't even bother with comprehension, do you, swamp?
2/9/2011 5:23 AM
And you feel no need to other with reality that doesnt fit your world view.

Tea Party Republicans were part of the reason that the Patriot act didnt just get passed through.
