Do I owe anyone money?
Shopping Cart Anti-Defamation League, whatever you're paying your (ex?)wife to cohabitate with the art teacher, hush money to a handful of 17 year-olds, $20 to Bret for the suicide league.

You say that every season...  but then you don't actually make any deals.

Good.  I will judge you otherwise.

Also VD, I responded to your TC.

I'm really happy that I got Schmidt ($4.0m), Frey ($4.1m), and Stevie Riley ($3.5m) for such cheap contracts in Shtickless. Those are a couple of solid starting pitchers for good deals, and Schmidt is a high splits, high contact hitter who can help out a team that's generally more skewed towards power numbers.

Since that post, I've put those players on revokable trade block, put a few dudes on rest, and signed a couple guys off the FA list who were worth a quick look.

I put claims in on two but I am 32/32, so I doubt I get them.

Pablo and Jo-Jo?

I think one of the reasons I hate that league is because I get the rapiest trade proposals sent to me for one of those two guys every week. Like a couple of AAAA relief pitchers for a legit top guy, and when I counter with something reasonable they say it's my fault for having him on the trade block.

Pablo and Jocko actually.  Wanted Jojo as well...

Yeah, it is definitely the hardest world to trade in.  I nabbed some decent pitching in trades but have generally failed to get position players except for my CF.

However, I still compete with a lot of free agency scraps in that world, so it isn't a reflection on owner talent.

He tries, but fears the vetoes. That, and he's an absolute pain to deal with.

More consistent...  rourke toned it down in later seasons...  VD never did.

I did manage to make a monster deal with him once though.
