Shtickless - Unless Being Dead Is A Shtick Topic

I need to start paying more attention my minor leagues in HBD.   I have been lazy about that.   putting guys in AAA right away and having my AA and lower for guys who will never make the Majors.    gonna start trying to get eveyone at least some time at each level.

whats the best way to progress a player through the majors?

i like ingram

He accepted that? Nice.

And robusk was criticizing me for signing Bell, and I called that I could probably leverage his overall rating into a trade...

Honestly, I feel like I mostly just gave up Rosado straight up for Ingram. Rosado was a high power CF, but didn't really have that good of splits. But I pretty much just replaced the guy I lost in the Davies trade in the lineup with a switch-hitter who generally hits well over .300 with a .400 OBP and can get on base for all the other hitters in my lineup... I'm definitely happy. I went from having a deep minors to trading a lot of it away the last week or so, but I feel like Honolulu is in a much better position to succeed.

Ingram's glove scares me a little, but it's worth a shot, I guess. At least for that bat. He's only 24 and he's still improving. He's just removed from the AL ROY, too.

I tend to try a season with each, depending on age. I put all draft picks in rookie. I'll promote college players to HiA and HS to LoA after their first season. From there I'll promote the better guys up a level each season. I'll rush some guys if they have a high make-up and are improving well. But it usually gets them in the majors at about the right time.

One thing to be wary of is patience. A low-patience player won't take to being at the same level consecutive years. They'll be the ones to retire or just stagnate and not improve.
