I just tore through "the hunger games" series. I almost quit about 20 minutes into the first book. glad I didn't.

and have you started the Brian haig ones?  they are pretty good too

I have a couple books in the queue first.... I will get to it though

I have about 10 poker books under my belt as well.    been reading everything about tournament poker I can get my hands on.   Gus Hansons every hand revealed is still my favorite.  Dan Negranue and Harringtons are up there too

anything good.    My gf told me I cant buy any more right now becasue I have about 15 I need to read but that wont stop me.  I am getting about 1 a week finished right now.  2 on a slow week like this one.

Jason and I should be up there Friday night.  I think Bill's going to miss this year.

He's trying to send someone to run his auction for him, I think.  Josh may be coming, so hopefully he could do it if necessary.

Finishing up some stupid 'doc ford' book that was recommended to me by my wifes grandfather .... then onto a book by Patrick Rothfuss that just came out on the 1st (its the 2nd of 3 books in the series) which I can't wait to read cause the first one was really good. Then onto month 4 of the expectant father... I'll be a dad in October.

I need to start paying more attention my minor leagues in HBD.   I have been lazy about that.   putting guys in AAA right away and having my AA and lower for guys who will never make the Majors.    gonna start trying to get eveyone at least some time at each level.

I tend to try a season with each, depending on age. I put all draft picks in rookie. I'll promote college players to HiA and HS to LoA after their first season. From there I'll promote the better guys up a level each season. I'll rush some guys if they have a high make-up and are improving well. But it usually gets them in the majors at about the right time.

One thing to be wary of is patience. A low-patience player won't take to being at the same level consecutive years. They'll be the ones to retire or just stagnate and not improve.

and thats before the made the scoring change and 1320 was pretty decent.  it might still be I am not sure.  I just heard that they made a change to the scoring making the avg score higher

now it's out of 2400 instead of 1600, I think.

just looked it up.   might pick it up.    have been listening to robert jordens series while driving.   in college i read the first 5 books.  i relistened to the first 5 and started 6 last week.   each book is about 30 hours of audio time though.
