Wed. is the first day of lent and I have come to the conclusion that if I give up reading swamp for lent and the quick laughs that go with it that i will be doing a good thing for my soul. All that and pepper and egg sandwiches! It gets no better then that!

1 Lent is for giving up somethng you like. You dont like me, I drive you nuts. And not matter how much you get fired up by our little feud, you cannot change that. You should actually give up the right to ignore me for lent. Respond to every post of mine you can find.

No, no, no. Please hold your breath until you pass out. When you wake up, report back here about whether dragons exist and if they are part of a conspiracy to discredit Fox News.

Not only will this be wildly entertaining, it would also set a baseline for what I'm going to call the "Beck" control group for a study on brain trauma. Now I'll just need to find a defensive tackle willing to play without a helmet for an entire NFL season and a meth addict and I'll be ready to apply for federal funding.

Or if you are refering to the first comment you never actually respond. You never stated why the things said about Bush are different than anything Rush ever said.

Pick a Rush line and tell me why it would promote violence more than the anti-Bush line. Or why the 2 are so very different.

Sigh. Fine. It is apparently my curse to try and educate fools who do not wish to learn. A lie, according to Merriam-Webster, is:

a : an assertion of something known or believed by the speaker to be untrue with intent to deceive

b : an untrue or inaccurate statement that may or may not be believed true by the speaker

You say this lie in the hopes of discrediting me with whoever might happen to come along and read this thread (that's your intent to deceive, up above), since pretty much everything you do in these political threads is an attempt at proselytization. You have admitted such many times - unlike the rest of us, who just have political conversations to pass the time, find out things about people we're sharing virtual space with etc., you have political conversations in the mad belief that you must 'spread the word' and convince people of the rightness and righteousness of your cause.

When you say something untrue as a form of political spin, or as an attack on someone you've deemed an opponent, it is a lie. Whether you genuinely believe it or not doesn't change that fact.

I stand by what I say. You never defend your statements. You never follow up on issues. You make a statement and that is it.

You dont really take a stand. You are just against things.

And the idea that being wrong about something is lying is out there. I guess you really can find anything on the internet.
