And after the Cold war spending did go down. Remember the term "Peace Dividend"?

The problem is social programs that are spiraling out of control. And a Government that decided it had to do everything.

People living too long is a problem. We just cannot fix that problem.

We need to not have the government spending money on them from cradle to grave!

Sure we can but no one would dare do it.  Improved healthcare is keeping people alive.  Providing free healthcare is keeping people who aren't productive members of society alive.   Old elephants wander off to die alone which keeps the herd strong.  We do everything we can to make our herd weak.

So what do you think, line people up in front of a firing squad on their 65th birthday?  I imagine bullets are much cheaper then health care. Also why stop there? What about the handicapped? And then forcing abortions of potential down's babies......oh wait! You guys are against abortion. I guess you can let them be born and then drown them in pillow cases.

Then why cut funding to Planned Parenthood?

I just wonder if he's going to come out in favor of death panels, or just go with some kind of modified Logan's Run set up.

Well, I don't have a problem with abortions.  I've already said I'd be in favor of FORCED abortions.   Or required abortions if that sounds better to the tree-huggers.  But I also said I understand why people, who have moral issues with abortions, don't want their tax money funding abortions.   I also said, if I got to pick, I'd personally fund some abortions.

I wouldn't have a death panel, as you call it, nor am I familiar with Logan's Run.   But I'd say "Sorry, I think society has no use for you.   Find some private funding or, I'm afraid, you're just going to die."

Forced abortion. Required abortion. Cute little fuzzy bunny abortion. I don't think nomenclature is the issue.

Non-optional abortions?

These are the same people that get offended when I use the word Nazi.

Who will be "providing" these mandatory abortions?
