And the other solution would be to legalize drugs and then we could save America from the other end.
Right - legalize more drugs for more people to gain access to them.

We cannot even keep people from drinking too much alcohol and then operating a car.

But it would be ok if we introduced a whole new variety of mind altering substances for people to use before they drive around?

I'm not sure why you would think people don't have access to them now.

How about we treat drugs like gambling....

There are 100% illegal but you can buy coke and weed at every party store but all the profits go to the schools.

I thought you wanted to do away with education?

What the **** is that even trying to say?

It is a subtle attack at the way the government in Michigan treats gambling.

There have been cases of poker games being raided, but anyone can buy over a dozen different scratch off tickets and a handful of daily and weekly games that used to be called "The numbers". They also tell the lie that all the profits go to the schools.

It just seems like such a moral oddity.

Probably why they raided the poker games was because they weren't getting a cut! Problem solved!

Should the answer ever be "People are going to do it anyway so why not legalize it?"

I dont think that by itself is enough. Murder and stealing come to mind.

I think it should apply to almost all victemless crimes.
6/19/2011 3:03 AM
Such as?
6/19/2011 5:42 AM
Drugs, prostitution, pornography, gambling.

The complete decriminaliztion of all of those things would help balance local budgets across America.
6/19/2011 1:16 PM
Victimless crimes?   Are you sure?
6/19/2011 2:23 PM
Lets see,,,

You want to use drugs...no victim.

She has the honey and I have the money lets cut a deal...no victim.

Well sometimes we bring a new guy to the poker game, but I dont think that is the kind of victim you mean.

Jenna Jameson is rich....no victim there.

Is there an issue that I am not thinking of?
6/19/2011 2:57 PM
Lots of 'em.   But I'm not surprised that you can't see any problems with any of those vices.
6/19/2011 4:20 PM

Of course I can see problems.

People  can ruin their lives with drugs. Prostitues can become under the influence of pimps. Gambling can be addictive.

The point is can the Government make this better?
