In my life I have been involved in many political protests. I have been in the street standing up for what I beleive.

I also donate to causes that I believe in.

You know the Founding Fathers believed that every town should have a meeting every month where everyone gets together and has a discussion about the issues of the day. I think I am following the Founding Fathers intent here.

Dan Savage got me thinking exactly how lame the claims that Obama is being treated bad are. All we have heard since his election is how much he is attacked, usually with a racist reference.

In reality this guy has had a cake walk. He is defended by not just the media but pop culture in general.

Any Obama comment is front page. Again savage's comment was all but ignored by the media in general. 40 ounce got major play.

I want to remind everyone the time that SNL did a bit critical of Obama CNN did a report the next day analyzing if it was valid, surprise to everyone CNN found Obama was treated unfairly.

I know this is covering many issues over a long period of time.

The theme is Obama is the biggest victim. Any criticism of him is attacked in an aggresive manor. Conservatives get blasted by the media and pop culture.

VICTIM CARD YET ....................AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

In other words, the only connection between Savage's comments and Obama is in your imagination. Got it.

And I've already explained to you, fucktard, why Savage's stupid comment didn't get the play Bolling's stupid comment did. Savage apologized for it before a media controversy could even get going. Bolling fanned the flames of his controversy.

Of course, you could argue that both were acting out of self-interest. Savage had nothing much to gain from being at the center of a media shitstorm, so he nipped it in the bud. Bolling did have something to gain from the exposure, so he kept himself in the headlines for a couple of weeks.

Yes.  Sarcasm doesn't transer so well to the written word.  And assuming swampy was being sarcastic in the thread title can be problematic because that means you have to assume swampy isn't just rambling incoherently.  However, over the course of this thread, it does appear that he was being sarcastic.   If you need me to explain sarcasm to you, I will. 

Otherwise, yes, I was putting the thread back on topic.   Swampy's point was Obama is treated with kid gloves by the media and it's audience.   Any comment about him is obviously racist and coming from someone wearing a hood while the liberal media can wish death upon the conservatives and be ignored. 

swamp has yet to make a single post in this thread about Obama being treated with kid gloves by the media. If that's his point, he's taking his sweet time getting to it.
