Did Palin make Bachmann viable? Topic

Actually you are the one seperating a Conservative for the same thing everyone does.

Liberals and other Republicans do this all the time. Free food and entertainment.

You have to vote for who you want and even if Bachmann buys the ballots she cannot force anyone to vote for her.

So go back to calling her crazy and drop this, nothing to see here!

Although Bachmann went beyond what the other candidates did, you're right to an extent -- the entire setup is corrupt.  Candidates are getting votes using methods that, in a real election, would get them arrested.  Just another reason the whole Iowa thing is a joke and some of the more serious contenders bypass it altogether.

I can't fathom how someone would be at all pleased that their candidate of choice "won" this ridiculous poll.

The only thing worse that losing this is trying to win and failing.

This isnt an election. This is the way a group of people, Iowa Republiccans, see who they might support for president.

A FEW THOUSAND RELIGIOUS NUTJOBS SHOULDN'T GET TO DECIDE ANYTHING FOR ALL AMERIKANS

when has that ever happened?

Bachmann channels her inner Pat Robertson, says Hurricane Irene is just God gettin' angry at government spending:

What does The Maneater have to say about it?    Because that's where real journalists work.

I visited that site once in my life, to get confirmation of a story I already knew about.

Whereas you are a regular watcher of "The Five."

You really want to keep going there, Mike?

8/29/2011 1:47 PM
Sure.   Of course, you might have to define "regular".

Nonetheless, if you want to link sources, know which sources to link.   Linking a college newspaper named after a Hall and Oates song will inspire ridicule.

This is typical of Mike. He finds something he thinks will devalue  anything you say and he beats you over the head with it ad nauseum.

As opposed to being anti-reading and getting your news from a Fox program running in the background?

If you think I'm anti-reading, it's painfully obvious that you haven't read much of this thread.

Even the article you posted says she was just kidding around.

Politicians use current event references all the time.

Of course I realize as a Conservative Christian Bachmann has to make sure that everything is cleared by moveon.org before she says it or she will be made fun of!

Here's the video:

I don't think she was joking, but if she was, what exactly is the joke?  People lost their lives in this hurricane -- does she find it funny to say God killed them to make a point about government spending?
