As you might imagine it is hard to find something like this.

As I am looking I am finding great information that supports my belief that the American Education system is in decay and needs to be released from the left's clutches.

Here is a school in Michigan offering...

The community, through the International Baccalaureate program, instills cultural appreciation and global citizenship while promoting personal development and a passion for learning.

Global Citizenship??

I don't disagree that our school system is failing.    But the root of it starts at home.   Part of that is latch-key kids(because mom and dad are both working in order to afford the Lexus or because mom hasn't seen dad since conception) and part of it is values being taught.  For every child that wants to learn, you have 3 that couldn't care less.

Fix that.  Then worry about curriculum.

Maybe instead of looking only for information that supports your beliefs, you should let your beliefs be guided by the total body of information that's out there.

I'm not sure how a free lesson plan offered by Discovery to teachers is relevant to your claim that modern schools are not teaching the basics.

The total body of information out there says our school systems are failing.   Unless you deny that, I think we're done here.

The International Baccalaureate program is recognized as having extremely rigourous academic standards. Which is something that I thought you were supporting.

If you want to have an intelligent debate about the problems in the modern classroom, you need to do some research to diagnose the actual proper before prescribing a cure. As opposed  trolling around to find "unsupported" facts and opinions that fit a dumbassed theory that you formed while watching Beck.

You can start with the recent scandals that have taken place in Atlanta and several school districts over widespread cheating. Here is a link from a newspaper that discusses the scandal.

What can we infer from the scandal? First, schools are under serious pressure to perform well on standardized tests because they are seen as a benchmark for the performance of teachers and schools. Because financial incentives are tied to test scores, it's not that surprising that some districts decided to cheat given the resources available to them.

Last year, my wife was transferred to an inner city school from a suburban school. She did this so she could spend more time at home with our children. She was very proud of her work with those kids, many of whom came from dysfunctional homes. Several had learning or behavioural issues. Want to guess what happened to her test scores? She didn't become a ****** teacher even her scores fell, although that's what no-nothing, finger-wagging halfwits on Fox would argue.

Nor did she concentrate on "touchy feely" stuff because her kids were being tested on math, language arts and social studies (civics). She did a good job under the circumstances and her principal recognized her for that.

It will be interesting to see what happens to those kids. Some might wind up repeating the problems that have plagued their parents in terms of substance abuse. But she's got hopes for a few of them. That probably wasn't any different for the teachers who worked with their parents.

My sense, though, is you are very comfortable in the easy answers provided by a 10-minute segment on Beck that recycle myths, stereotypes and villians of convenience. The answers are always easy when you don't have a clue.

I wonder where Mike Multitask gets his total body of information? He's got a lot to say without putting any forward any facts, just his strong finger-wagging opinions about how other people aren't doing the job. Which sounds an awful lot like most childless halfwits who don't have a clue about how modern schools work.

I'm just wondering how "we" can be done when "we" (as in Mike and I) hadn't started anything, since I wasn't talking to him. You'd almost think he was desperate for my attention or something.

Just exposing you as a ******* liar.  You respond a lot to someone you claim to have blocked.

Dumbass.
