How did technology get  in there?

I understand the liberal position that companies should spend all their profits to hire more people no matter as to the need.

What does technology have to do with it?

Technology eliminates low skill jobs.   Goes back to the cavemen days.

Need to push a rock up a hill?  You need six cavemen.    Or a pulley system and two cavemen.

Need cash?   Get it from your teller at the bank.   Or an ATM.

People demanding that companies hire unnecessary workers hate technology.

Doesn't matter what the thing is...if companies were only concerned with jobs and not innovation and markets, there would still be people manufacturing horse carriages, Commodore 64's, rotary telephones, etc.  It's horrible efficiency to prop up things that are eventually going to be obsolete.
