Why is it that no one can get their brain around the concept that State sales tax is irrelevant in the analysis of the 999 plan.

There might be 100s of reasons that 999 is not a good idea, but to keep bringing up state sales tax is just ignorant.

It is always easier to just pick a simple concept and hammer it than to actually address the issues.

I would be happy to pay 9% sales tax to not pay an extra 24% of payroll taxes, extra 15% on Capital Gains Tax, any taxes on gas, and estate taxes.  I would also enjoy the pay raise and extra help from my company because of the 26% less corporate taxes that they would be paying.

Now lets be careful.

In theory, a company COULD go down the path of helping their employees and offering better pay, but there is no guaruntee that would happen.

I am 100% certain that some companies would do exactly that, but am equally certain the extra savings would go straight into the pockets of the bigwigs, in other instances.

Anyone that wants to make more money would try to reinvest a large portion of that savings in hiring more people or buy more equipment, which would help those companies hire people.  Just stuffing the money in your pocket is a good way of going out of business.

So you have never attacked me when I mentioned the rehetoric of left wing talk in repsonse to attacks on Rush and Beck?

That doesn't answer jim's question at all.

Also, let me make something clear. Someone disagreeing with you, or criticizing or even mocking you does not constitute an attack. If someone comes to your house and beats you over the head with a baseball bat, that is an attack. You're just determined to portray yourself as a victim, which you ain't.

I admit I was using hyperbole for effect.

There is a lot of banter here about Rush and Beck and when I list the many left wing talk shows people like you and Jim act like that doesnt matter because they have a smaller audience

Factually incorrect, as usual.
