So you're giving more credibility to a blog than CNN?

HAHA.

Are you the French newspaper guy?    FWIW, I think you'd have a difficult time finding 35 people who say "The US government is no better than Al Queda" and "Capitalism is immoral" anywhere but some OWS march.

By the way, that 3rd question is a bit weird.  I'm not sure that an economic system can be inherently moral or immoral.  But if those are the only choices, and the "100 protesters" who answered have eyes to see what's going on right there on Wall Street (presumably where they were asked these questions), what the hell is wrong with answering immoral?
Are you implying that they're allowing protesters to walk into the offices and view records?   Because, if not, what, exactly, are they "seeing"?

I think we can safely make an educated guess about the origin of "crazy" in crazystengel's name.

I think he's just a lefty that will defend his "side" even when it's stupid.  LInking a blog or one man's opinion and dismissing a CNN poll(I guess they should have asked everyone at the OWS sit-in) is just silliness at it's finest.

And I think most polls are complete bullshit.   But they have as much, or more, credibility as a blogger or newspaper writer.

The guy who gets his info from Foxy Five Friends is going to crap on a NY Times blogger?  Are you saying the blogger misrepresented the poll results in some way, or misunderstood them?  I wonder if more than 100 people were questioned in the poll he's writing about.

The information's out there.  If you two want to listen to Fox News, go right ahead.

I crap on all bloggers.   Because, you know, they're bloggers.   I don't get my news from Kardashian tweets either.   Call me crazymike for that.

Again, polls are mostly useless bullshit.  I just think it's batshit crazy that 1 in 3 said "US = Al Queda".

Now, back to my unanswered question.

Do you understand that CNN is not Fox News?

Do you also understand that blogging = opinion = subjectivity, where polls = data = objectivity?

Are YOU implying that a person would have to walk into the offices and view records to know that there's corruption on Wall Street?

If you like, change the words "eyes to see" to "brains enough to understand" and maybe it won't be so confusing.

I think a hippie standing on the sidewalk screaming "**** the USA" isn't seeing anything nor does he have brain enought to understand ****.    And I don't think one has to stand on the sidewalk outside to understand corruption in the business world.   IOW, the OWS is nothing about "understanding".

Honestly, I didn't even look at your CNN link.  I understand that CNN is not Fox News.  But to me they're equally useless as sources of news.

As for the NYT blogger, did you read it?  Where's the opinion there?  He's reporting on a poll.  I challenge you to quote me something from that link that you consider subjective opinion.

Yes, and we'e already established that only police car shitting hippies are protesting Wall Street.  I think we now have the full view from Mt. Mike.
10/19/2011 2:11 PM
No, I think you made a stupid statement "the "100 protesters" who answered have eyes to see what's going on right there on Wall Street (presumably where they were asked these questions)" and are refusing to back away from it.

No one has to be on Wall Street to "see" the corruption.   The problem with protests like this is that the people doing it have very little credibility when demanding corporate reform and economic justice.    Simply because they either A) don't have jobs or B) don't have jobs important enough to the economy that they can't afford to miss day after day after day.    Of course those with little or nothing want change.   Nothing new on that front.
10/19/2011 2:15 PM
And, just so we're clear, polls are useless because they're biased.     Someone has to be asking the questions.   If they want to make the OWS look stupid, they hit the fringe people, jester hat guy, stoned college kid in hemp sandals, etc, etc.    If they want to make the OWS look legit, business suit guy gets polled.
10/19/2011 2:20 PM
Right.  And the people who are unemployed and underemployed in this economy have only themselves to blame.  Saying it might be related to economic policies/Wall Street corruption is just whining.  Pull up your bootsraps, *******, like old Works Smart Not Hard!

10/19/2011 2:23 PM
Well, it's nice to blame someone else for your woes.   But running around in a jester hat doesn't scream "HIRE ME!!!  I'M A GOOD WORKER!!!"
